In this exciting role, you’ll take the lead in managing all market segments for group ranging from 26 guest rooms to 200 guest rooms on peak depending on the market segment. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the chance to build strong client relationships, create impactful experiences, and contribute to the continued success of our iconic hotel in the heart of downtown Cleveland.
Minimum Requirements:
1+ years of sales experience
Strong understanding of hotel sales processes with a hunger to grow and collaborate
Comfortable engaging directly with decision makers; strong critical thinking skills
Passion for sales, achieving targets, and exceeding objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
Large, Big box hotel experience (500+ rooms and 40,000+ sq. ft. of convention space) is preferred
Familiarity with Delphi.fdc/Salesforce
Prior experience with Hilton processes and programs
The hourly rate range for this role is between $26-$29 per/hour which may be determined by applicable and specialized experience and location.
What will I be doing?
As a Group Sales Manager, you would be responsible for representing the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.Initiates new sales, prospects and qualifies leads and solicits potential clientsHost and entertain clients and maintain client accountsConduct property site visits and answer questionsDetermine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel(s)Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goalsPartner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts

Hilton offers a best-in market SIP (Short-Term Incentive Plan) to our Sales, Catering & Events teams to reward our employees for their contributions to our company’s financial success.
