**About the Role: Sales Manager - Groups**
As Sales Manager - Groups, you will be a key commercial leader in positioning Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni as a premier luxury destination for group travel. With a focus on high-end clientele, bespoke service, and strategic sales execution, you will help shape the property's transformation into a Park Hyatt, delivering exceptional experiences and measurable results.
+ Design and deliver tailored group proposals that reflect the refined elegance and personalized service synonymous with the Park Hyatt brand.
+ Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, meeting planners, travel agents, and corporate clients to maximize repeat business and referrals.
+ Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to secure high-value group business from corporate, incentive, entertainment, and association segments, with a focus on luxury positioning.
+ Leverage deep knowledge of Vancouver’s premium business landscape to identify opportunities, build relationships, and grow market share among discerning clientele.
+ Collaborate with Events and Revenue teams to maximize the use of meeting and social spaces, ensuring alignment with brand standards and revenue goals.
+ Manage a portfolio of key accounts with a high-touch, relationship-driven approach—ensuring consistent engagement, loyalty, and revenue performance.
+ Represent the property with sophistication and confidence through site inspections, FAM trips, client events, and presentations that convey the essence of understated luxury.
+ Participate in international sales missions, trade shows, and client events, while collaborating with Hyatt’s global sales offices to drive cross-market opportunities.
+ Ensure every client interaction reflects Hyatt’s commitment to intuitive service, emotional connection, and elevated guest experiences.
+ **Support the Rebranding Journey** : Act as a brand ambassador during the hotel’s transformation into a Park Hyatt, contributing to repositioning efforts and ensuring continuity of excellence throughout the transition.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in group sales or a related hospitality role, ideally within a luxury hotel environment
+ Prior experience with Hyatt or another globally recognized luxury hospitality brand is highly valued
+ Demonstrated expertise in navigating Vancouver’s luxury hospitality landscape, with a strong understanding of global travel trends and the expectations of high-end clientele
+ Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to connect with clients across diverse cultural and professional backgrounds
+ Results-driven mindset with a deep understanding of global sales strategies and local market dynamics
+ You bring presence, polish and guest first philosophy to everything you do
