Sales Manager / Assistant Manager - Leisure

Assistant Manager / Manager, Sales is accountable for proactively soliciting and managing sales opportunities in line with the annual business development and sales plan, and to achieve/exceed budget in executing the sales strategy of the Hotel. Generate new accounts and building relationship within assigned segments. Provide sufficient leads to achieve objectives and goals.

Duties Responsibilities:

Achieve daily and monthly targeted number of sales activities with effectivenessDevelop business leads for the Hotel on a weekly basisPrepare monthly list of accounts to penetrate for the following monthPlan a minimum of 2 site inspections/entertainment meetings per week to qualified potential accounts or new accountsUpdate Director of Sales on market trends and business leadsPrepare monthly action plan for main market segment and implement an account development plan for key accounts to achieve maximum revenue in both short and long termPerform monthly review account profile on room nights production and average rateMonitor competitors’ rate strategy, account penetration and marketing activities to maintain a competitive edgeFully responsible of accounts under his/her management to achieve financial and non-financial objectives , including contracting, updating profile and renewing contractsSolicit new and existing corporate/group/catering accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communicationUp-sell, cross-sell and promote Hotel facilities services at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenueConduct negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for The Standard, Bangkok MahanakhonAttend hotel clients and local community business events to network and maintain high visibilityIdentify and communicate ideas, customer expectations from assigned segments and territoryUpdate management and other departments on VIP arrivals, meet and greet accordinglyAttend overseas trade shows, key clients events, FAM trips and sales trip as planned, submitted and approved at the beginning of each year and updated calendar at each quarterEnsure that all accounts profile, all sales reports and any other relevant information are updatedDevelop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departmentsMaintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and informationFollow company and department policies and proceduresEnsure dress-code and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures

Required skills and Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records in a 5 star hotelBachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality or related fieldExcellent verbal, reading and written communication skillsProficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerpointSatisfactorily communicate with guests, employees and management to their understandingAbility to achieve sales targets and work in a highly pressurized environmentA team player and builderA motivator and self starterDesire to succeed and passion to lead
