• Ensure professional sales calls using Hyatt’s Consultative Selling principles and SMART Selling philosophies.
• Carefully plan Sales Calls with defined objectives.
• Acquire new clients, develop potential accounts, and retain businesses with the most potential for the hotel.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of Hotel facilities, features, and services.
• Conduct extensive competitor research and maintain excellent Product Knowledge of the hotel.
• Systematically and efficiently call on allocated Accounts within the location and report findings and opportunities to the Director of Sales.
• Pre-qualify and target prospects, utilizing Envision database, and develop appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategies to increase the hotel’s market share.
• Professionally conduct routine telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities and follow up on sales leads.
• Meet and greet VIP guests upon arrival/departure.
• Plan and make Sales trips to current and potential clientele to explore new business opportunities.
• Entertain and conduct hotel inspections with relevant representatives/delegates as required.
• Establish strong contacts to source information regarding planned and upcoming functions/events.
• Review and seek constant improvements in productivity levels through streamlining work processes and implementing strategies to "take work out of the system" when appropriate.
• Implement all sales action plans related to responsibility areas as outlined in the Marketing plan.
• Continuously learn and follow up on the World of Hyatt loyalty program and promote it to clients and guests at all times.
• Support DOS/DOSM for Hyatt Sales Incentive Plan preparations.
• Entertain and conduct hotel inspections for clients whenever required.
• Establish and maintain a strong relationship with established clientele and constantly explore new business opportunities.
• Liaise and work closely with related operational departments to ensure guests' requests and expectations are met.
• Handle guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems. If no immediate solution can be found, ensure necessary follow-up is conducted in a timely manner.
