Job Description
Omni PGA Frisco is hiring a Sales Manager. This role will fully develop the small Group market with the emphasis on Group production especially for short-term and higher rated, less price sensitive business to encompass all U.S states, concentrating on the solicitation of new profitable business.
He/She will merchandise as skillfully as possible the guest rooms and function space to maximize revenue potential for the hotel and to ensure that the customer has the best possible meeting experience.
The ideal candidate will achieve monthly room night goals, develop and implement sales action plans, maintain positive interdepartmental communications and to complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Sales. The position will start off in the office five (5) days per week, with the opportunity to earn remote days after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities Achieve monthly room night booking goals, handling group blocks from 10- 70 rooms on peak nightsFollow Booking GuidelinesParticipate in sales trip targeting specific areas and group within marketSolicit accounts within assigned market segment utilizing FDCProspect and develop new accounts in line with the hotel's stated Mission StatementMaintain aggressive weekly telephone, site inspection and personal call goalsUse all prospect sources as identified in the Sales Action PlanFollow up promptly on leads generated by the GSO, other Omni Hotels & Resorts, and other lead sourcesAchieve budgeted room nights, room rate and revenuesIs current with all market related publications to stay on top of all industry trends and uncover any potential leadsAchieve targeted referral goals for all Omni HotelsMonitor Reader Boards of competition for potential sources of new group businessIs fully aware of all corporate sponsored promotionsParticipates in development of administrative assistantsMaintain positive attitude and welcome change Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate effectively to perspective and existing clientsMinimum one-year of sales experience in a management roleMust have experience in "cold call" solicitation, contract closing, site inspections/visits with clients, setting up fam trips and contract negotiationsProficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) and DelphiFour-year college degree is preferredOmni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
