Sales Manager
Job Description

Reporting to Regional Sales Director (Instruments).

The Sales Manager is the country business leader responsible for the overall business performance and service operation excellence for Agilent customers in Singapore, developing, refining and executing all field sales activities.

The Sales Manager will refine and deliver Singapore “Go-To-Market” plan, achieving agreed market share, sales and margin, order book and customer service targets within a defined cost framework.

The incumbent will increase business intimacy and knowledge in crucial areas across value-add reseller, service and chemistries domain areas.

Using market knowledge and insight, the sales manager will position Agilent solutions in Singapore with key customers, partners and industry leaders.

The incumbent will lead and drive the sales management team across the Singapore targeted market segments to achieve targets and goals.

He/She will ensure team alignment with Business Unit goals and objectives.

He/She will train, educate and develop sales, marketing and technical support team members as well as manage and drive performance.

The Sales Manager will ensure employee engagement and alignment to deliver the country business growth and facilitate teamwork/collaboration across business functions in Singapore to maximize business results.

Encourage and lead a culture of innovation across the team to ensure Agilent remains competitive in all aspects of the business.

Qualifications

Master degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biology, or other related Sciences.

5+ years’ experience with multinational and remote people management, proven skills to manage diverse teams.

5+ years track record in sales, marketing, and support of chemical analysis tools and products. Proven track record of working in multinational environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English. Knowledge of Mandarin will be a plus.

An absolute commitment to governance and business ethics.

Domain experience will include the leadership of “go-to-market” teams (sales, marketing and technical support), ideally selling “high technology” solutions (products, systems, consumables and services) to applied and life sciences markets.

Able to build organization capability and lead teams to develop channel skillset, client acquisition and key account management competence.

Demonstrated industry experience integrating the resources of several complex departments or functions. Proven track record of achieving results through team’s performance.

Able to manage a broad portfolio of products and services through direct and indirect channels.

Demonstrated strong leadership and people management within complex, multi-cultural business environment. Committed to team development with excellent communication skills.

Understands clearly how to operate in large complex matrix organization to get results through positive engagement and internal partnerships.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
