Hilton Birmingham Metropole are looking for a Sales Manager with a proven track record with the sales and hospitality. Reporting to our Director of Sales you will support the development and delivery of our key growth sales strategies within the Groups/MICE market and drive revenue within the hotel.

As Sales Manager you will have a proven track record within the Mice market and the ability to proactively source new direct and agency business and grow existing relationships from a pre-determined vertical and portfolio of accounts, to help deliver the hotels overall budget. Leading the activity in research for our L&TD and BBOB business, you’ll be responsible for allocating these activities vertically to the team.

Whilst you will primarily be responsible for driving MICE into the hotel, there may also be a requirement to manage group and other accounts.

As Sales Manager you will you are required to build strong relationships with the Hilton Worldwide Sales team in all regions and take part in Hilton initiatives that expose the hotel to markets globally.

The role is target driven by revenue and is monitored by the ability to demonstrate customer contact.

The role requires travel, flexibility in working hours and location and the ability to manage time and resources remotely

Main Duties and Responsibilities

This position of Sales Manager will be directly responsible for:

·         Work closely with the DOS and proactive team to develop key sales strategies for GC&E

·         Manage a selection of key Group and Mice clients to drive share

·         Proactively source and manage new GC&E business for the hotel

·         Generate and maintain relationships with unmanaged conference agencies and corporate accounts.

·         Keep track of key market trends

·         Participate in sales blitzes, trade shows, workshops and sales trips as required.

·         Develop solid relationships with the Hilton Worldwide Sales teams and actively engage with them to promote Hilton BM where needed.

·         Negotiating rates in line with hotel strategy

·         Developing and implementing creative marketing and social selling initiatives to attract new business.

·         Working alongside the on-site Groups, Conference and Events team to ensure the customer journey from enquiry handling through to completion is seamless

·         Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong comprehensive sales programs

·         Input of activities to aid in the production of accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the DOS and senior management to include the reporting of appointments, calls made and business leads

·         Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner

·         Arrange and deliver creative and memorable Hotel show rounds for events of £50k or under, developing to larger valued events in time.

·         Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required
