Job Description:
HPE is redefining the scope of the Sales Director role to encompass broader responsibilities. Previously focused on overseeing sales execution through account managers, the director will now take on full accountability for managing day-to-day sales execution across the entire country while also spearheading the channel business. This expanded role calls for a careful evaluation of the individual’s ability to navigate the increased scope of responsibilities and the additional competencies required to excel in this position.
For Belux specific there are additional responsibilities part of the role: like but not limited to: statutory representation, representation to the market, Workers Council discussions and negotiations, Press and Public relations aspects.
Key additional capabilities for the expanded role:
To succeed in the expanded role, the Sales Directors in Belux and in Netherlands will need the following extra capabilities beyond managing account managers on a day to day basis:Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute a cohesive sales strategy that integrates both direct sales and channel sales.Channel Sales Expertise: Understanding of indirect sales models, including how to build, manage, and grow relationships with channel partners such as distributors, resellers, and solution providers.Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborating with internal teams across marketing, operations, and finance to align efforts and resources toward achieving country-wide sales goals.Leadership and Change Management: Leading the team through the transition to a broader scope and balancing priorities across direct and channel sales teams.Relationship Management: Building trust and credibility with channel partners while ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and values.Performance Analytics: Analysing sales data, tracking KPIs, and using insights to drive decision-making for both direct and channel sales efforts.Cultural Awareness: Understanding the unique marketEducation and Experience Required:
University or Bachelor's degree, advanced university or Master's degree preferred.5+ years of sales and progressive management experience.10+ years of technical sales experience.Demonstrated results in growing a business or expanding a market.Additional Skills:
