Sales Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined sales engineer to support our growing semiconductor component distribution business. This role combines technical understanding with sales execution, focusing on identifying opportunities, engaging with OEM/EMS customers, and supporting the sales cycle from lead generation to order closure.

The ideal candidate will work closely with senior sales and technical teams to build customer relationships, promote product solutions, and contribute to revenue growth across key segments such as industrial, automotive, EV and IOT domains.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential customers in the region (OEM/ODM/EMS companies) that require semiconductor components. Schedule and support meetings with key stakeholders (R&D, procurement, engineering teams). Understand customer requirements and applications. Present product offerings and its value propositions. Collaborate with internal technical teams for Product selection, Application support, Solution proposals. Assist in sharing datasheets, reference designs, and technical documentation. Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing small-to-medium-sized accounts, ensuring end to end support and identify up-selling/cross selling opportunities. Pipeline Tracking: Use CRM tools to manage the sales funnel from the initial "design-in" phase to the final "mass production" purchase orders. Track deal progress and proactively address bottlenecks to improve conversion rates Support achievement of individual and team revenue targets. Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline aligned with revenue goals. Assist in converting opportunities into orders through timely follow-ups, Coordination with internal teams and customer engagement during decision stages Market Intelligence: Stay updated on the market trends and competitor activities to provide strategic feedback to the management.

Required Skills & Traits

Sound understanding of electronics/semiconductors (components, applications) Ability to understand technical requirements and good at consultative selling Strong communication and presentation skills Familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools Learning-oriented mindset with the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and tools High level of ownership and accountability Clear and professional verbal and written communication Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronics & Communication (ECE), or a related technical field. Experience: 2–3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, distribution, or technical support is a major plus. Tools: Familiarity with CRM software (like Salesforce or Zoho) and ERP systems. Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, automation tools, research tools) Experience working with founders, senior executives, or fast-paced environments Basic understanding of business operations, vendors, or customer interactions

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Success in this role is more than meeting/exceeding revenue targets and is forward looking towards building a foundation for long-term growth. After 12 months, a successful Junior Executive will have:

A Diverse "Design-Win" Portfolio: You have successfully moved multiple customer projects from the prototype stage to the "Approved Vendor List" (AVL). Product Fluency: You can speak confidently about 3–5 of our core technology franchises without needing to look at the sales play book. Relationship Equity: You are the first person your customers call when they have a technical bottleneck or a new requirement. Forecasting Accuracy: You provide clean data that allows the team to stock the right inventory at the right time.
