WATER QUALITY PLATFORM  

Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater, and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer and ChemTreat.  WQ Asia has sales offices in India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.  

Hach-TH Water Quality Platform, a part of the Hach Company, is a leader in manufacturing and distributing analytical instruments and reagents used to test water quality and other liquid solutions. In response to the rapidly expanding reagent in water test business in Thailand, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Water Quality Thailand Group as a Sales Engineer (Municipal & Government Project)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer to drive business growth within the municipal, government, and industrial sectors. This role is crucial for developing strong client relationships, identifying new project opportunities, and providing expert technical consultation to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, government agencies, EPC contractors, and system integrators.

Identify upcoming projects and engage stakeholders during the early planning stages (e.g., budget planning, specifications, and tender preparation).

Provide technical consultation and propose solutions that align with customer needs and project requirements.

Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, service, product management, and operations) to ensure accurate proposals and timely project execution.

Monitor and influence specifications, bills of quantity (BOQ), and tender documents to align with company capabilities.

Track and manage project pipelines, sales forecasts, and ensure achievement of assigned targets.

Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations, including chemical shelf life and product acceptance conditions.

Represent the company in meetings, industry exhibitions, seminars, and client presentations.

Qualification

Prefer a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environment Sciences, or equivalent experience.  Alternate science degrees will be considered.

Sales experience (at least four years) in similar products and services on Government Projects e.g., sales of high turnover commodities preferred

Individuals equipped with a more technically inclined sales approach will be an added advantage

Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT software to facilitate sales related administrative work, in areas of quotations & project bid proposals preparations.

Must have a valid driver’s license and possess own vehicle
