What we are looking for

Avery Dennison’s North America Sales Early Career Program (SECP) has a single business focus to build talent for our world class organization. With a concentrated blend of experiential on-the-job learning and classroom and virtual training, the SECP serves as the talent pipeline for roles throughout the organization.

We are seeking dynamic and agile individuals eager for a lifelong career in sales to join our Sales Early Career Program (SECP). SECP Associates will gain in-depth exposure through various assignments over 24-30 months. The initial 6-9 months will be spent in our Corporate offices in Mentor, OH, followed by rotations into sales regions across the East, West, or Mid-West.

What you will be doing

The primary role and responsibility of this Early Career Program associate will be dependent on business needs, and the ECP associates development areas. However, during the program, you may experience the following opportunities:

Gain a strong sales foundation: Sales Associates will craft the key skills and proficiencies  needed to thrive in the sales industry & develop technical product knowledge

Work cross-functionally to gain business insights and be exposed to various aspects of the business

Develop key skills: Build skills in areas such as pricing, relationship management, negotiation, time management, and strategic business planning

Presenting products/services: Effectively communicating the value proposition to potential customers

Closing sales: Negotiating deals and finalizing sales and transaction

Relationship building: Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers

Meeting sales targets: Contributing to overall sales goals and revenue generation

CRM management:  Keeping accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities

Qualifications

What you will need to bring to the program

Avery Dennison has a long history of being an industry leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field required with Sales minor or certificate a plus. Expected graduation date should be December 2025  (to start in January 2026) or May 2026 (to start in June 2026)

Experiences 

Previous sales internship or co-op experience required or relevant work experience

Experience via student organizations, such as  Alpha Kappa Psi, Association of Latino Professionals of America, Multicultural Business Association, etc.

Volunteerism or similar activities

Travel

Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time

*Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Additional Information

The salary for this position is $60,000/year. 

The salary above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
