Sales Director - Defense & Aerospace

Sales Director – Defense & Aerospace Division

Jabil is seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Director to lead growth initiatives within our Defense & Aerospace division. This role is responsible for driving revenue through new and existing customer relationships, cultivating trust at the executive level, and delivering tailored solutions that align with Jabil’s advanced manufacturing capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a consultative sales leader with deep industry knowledge, capable of navigating complex sales cycles and fostering long-term strategic partnerships.

What will you do?

Strategic Sales Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Jabil’s corporate objectives and the unique demands of the Defense & Aerospace sector.Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities in collaboration with senior leadership, sector VPs, and business development teams.Build and maintain high-level relationships with key decision-makers, focusing on long-term value creation and strategic alignment.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

Serve as the primary executive contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction, trust, and alignment with Jabil’s capabilities.Lead customer engagement efforts from initial prospecting through post-sale follow-up, using a structured consultative sales approach.Act as a customer advocate within Jabil, translating customer needs into actionable strategies across operations, legal, and business development teams.

Sales Execution & Forecasting

Deliver accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports, leveraging tools such as Salesforce to track progress and identify growth opportunities.Prepare and manage expense budgets and analyze trends to inform strategic decisions.Provide regular updates to the VP of Sales and Marketing on performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Technical & Commercial Expertise

Develop and present compelling RFQ responses and commercial proposals that meet financial targets, including profitability and RONA.Lead complex negotiations with prospective customers, ensuring alignment with Jabil’s operational and financial goals.Promote Jabil’s global footprint, technical capabilities, and value-added services to drive customer acquisition and retention.

What is the experience needed to be successful in role?

US Citizenship required.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.15+ years of experience in sales leadership within the EMS/Electronics industry, along with experience in Defense & Aerospace sectors.Proven track record of consultative selling and managing complex, long-cycle sales processes.Strong understanding of manufacturing services, supply chain dynamics, and regulatory requirements in the defense sector.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
