Sales Assistant, Fixed Income Sales

**About this role:**
As a Junior Sales Assistant on the EMEA Credit & SPG Sales team, you will play a key support role assisting the desk with trade execution, client onboarding, operational processes, and general day-to-day activities. You’ll work closely with salespeople, traders and control functions to help manage and grow our client relationships, while ensuring seamless execution and delivery of our services. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to develop a career in institutional sales within Credit and Structured Products.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Book and process trades executed by salespeople
+ Provide live support on trade chat including backing up sales where necessary
+ Manage and liaise with operations to resolve any post-trade or settlement issues
+ Support onboarding and KYC processes by coordinating with clients and internal teams
+ Perform core administrative duties such as account setup, documentation support and data entry
+ Track client requests, monitor outstanding items, and escalate issues to relevant teams
+ Assist with performance tracking, MI reporting and suggesting process improvements
+ Contribute to internal meetings by helping prepare sales materials and coverage updates
+ Support senior sales and product teams with research, pricing requests, and client queries
+ Coordinate with other Wells Fargo teams – including Fixed Income strategists, Syndicate, and COO, to ensure comprehensive coverage of client needs and to strengthen client relationships across the bank
+ Help manage client coverage lists and partner with global product teams to broaden Credit product distribution, furthering our EMEA and global footprint
+ Ensure full compliance with internal and external standards and regulatory policies within the provided framework
+ Uphold Wells Fargo’s reputation for excellence, integrity, and outstanding client service
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Experience in Securities Sales support, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent)
+ Strong interpersonal, professional communication, and a client-service mindset
+ Interest in credit markets and an ability to grasp financial products and trading concepts
+ Knowledge of trade lifecycle and post-trade operations is preferred
+ Familiarity with internal systems, controls processes and risk systems are a plus
+ Highly organized with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
+ Able to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple tasks under time pressure
+ Proficiency with Excel and Bloomberg
