**Position Summary:**
Responsible for developing, implementing and/or administering environmental, fleet safety, and occupational health and safety programs to ensure applicable legal complican and create and maintain a safe and secure working environment. Also responsible for facility security and disaster preparedness planning and effective management of claims (e.g., property and casualty- workers' compensation, auto liability and physical damage, and products/general liability). Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Deliver safety programs within budgetary guidelines. Conduct safety training as necessary.
+ Decrease "lost days from work" and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) recordable incidents.
+ Demonstrate awareness of customer needs and perform job duties to effectively meet those needs.
+ Develop interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, both internally and externally.
+ Provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers/vendors and co-workers.
+ Improve safety policies and procedures.
+ Monitor safety programs and implement changes necessary to ensure the health and safety of our associates.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications:**
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
1-3 years Relevant work experience in safety; experience interpreting pertinent regulations such as EPA, USDA/FDA, OSHA, Cal/OSHA, CUPA, OSPER, DOT, NFPA, MTSA, or CFATS.
Basic to intermediate computer skills to include MS Office Suite
and Outlook
Strong interpersonal skills to include interviewing, coaching and presentation skills.

Associates/2-year technical:
3-5 years Relevant work experience in operations safety, experience interpreting regulations such as EPA, USDA/FDA, OSHA, Cal/OSHA, CUPA, OSPER, DOT, NFPA, MTSA, or CFATS; background in elements of Personal Safety, Management Systems, Emergency Response and Security regulatory requirements, proficiency or exposure to up-fits and installed equipment on board motor coaches including Samsara.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills
Foodservice distribution industry
