Our client, a leader in the steel manufacturing industry, is looking for a contract Safety Supervisor. The Safety Supervisor will provide critical support to their Maintenance Department. This position starts on a 2-6 month contract with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent position.

What You Will Be Doing

Engage employees on safety compliance, concerns, and program awareness

Conduct audits and inspections (e.g., fall protection, eyewash stations, fire extinguishers)

Provide technical safety support and ensure compliance with plant and regulatory standards

Lead or assist with safety training, incident investigations, and safety data tracking

Support risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives

Perform additional safety-related duties as needed

Who You Are

High school diploma required; degree in Occupational Health & Safety preferred

2+ years of safety experience, ideally in a manufacturing or unionized environment

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety program management

Excellent communication and leadership skills across all organizational levels

Must be adaptable, on-call when needed, and effective at driving safe, high-performing teams
