Job Description:
The Safety Specialist position will be responsible for ensuring that all safety standards are met within the company.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintains records and files of all surveys, inspections, and incidents to assure compliance with corporate, state, and federal requirements pertaining to reporting hazardous incidents, motor vehicle accidents and personal injuries
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
Provide safety training and education to employees
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes
Recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents
Prepare and present safety reports to management
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards for both Subcontractors and in-house employees
Participates in selected OSHA and Safety Certification courses as directed by Management
Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assist in developing emergency response plans
