Safety & Security Field Training Officer

Protects hospital buildings, assets, and premises as assigned. Provides initial and ongoing education on safety and security for both security and hospital associates. Supports in planning, scheduling and leading drills associated with security response and reports on same. Administers the Lenel security system for the facility. Assists in monitoring the Environment of Care for any safety or security concerns and assists in the development and implementation of Hospital-wide safety/security initiatives. Provides ongoing support of the Security Department leadership.


Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

Five years of experience in law enforcement or security operations required. Hospital environment preferred.Knowledge of Safety and Security pertaining to The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation standards and elements of performance including policies & procedures implemented to meet these standards. Effective interpersonal communications skills.Supervisory and/or Leadership experience required. Instructor in Electronic Control Devices, or equivalent self-defense, physical control techniques required within one year. Instructor in physical management and/or self-defense techniques (e.g. PPCT-DT, RIPP, KOGA) required within one year. Familiarly with local, state and federal safety regulations including OSHA and NFPA.High School Diploma or GED required.Where You'll Work
