Airswift has been tasked by a major Oil and Gas client looking for a Safety Relief Engineer to work in Spring, TX for 1 year assignment with benefits offered.

Responsibilities

Develop unit & flare Safety Relief Reviews (SRRs), which is an engineering evaluation of the safety systems that keep our process facilities safe performed in support of capital project development or consulting for a manufacturing site. Consult & provide TQA (Total Quality Assurance) of site-performed SRR work, including those developed by 3rd parties. Propose cost-effective mitigations for SRR findings. Participate in Risk Assessments with Process Safety & Risk. Support sites in maintaining evergreen Unit & Flare Models. Perform and/or lead pressure relief system analysis in support of projects and site activities. Responsible for delivering efficient and accurate process safety studies and solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Chemical Engineering and/or previous experience in a closely related position. Software Experience: Process Safety Pressure Protection Measure (PSPPM) is a major plus. 5-10 years' experience in the safety relief field. Previous experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemicals industry. Knowledge of Process Design fundamentals with respect to safety, including, overpressure scenario identification. Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring technical teams. Fundamental understanding of distillation tower, pump and compressor operation and performance.
