Sentara Virginia Beach GH Emergency Department is hiring a Safety Partner to join their team!

Shift: PT Nights - Sat 11p-7a and Sun 7p-7a 

Unit Description:

This is a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with 6 beds dedicated to a lock down psychiatric screening and treatment area.   We are a stroke certified ED and receive STEMI and psychiatric patients.  The ED treats about 150 patients per day with a dedicated radiology suite in the ED for plain film and CT imaging. We have a diverse nursing and ED Tech team.

Job Description:

Assists with the provision of a safe hospital environment conducive to individualized patient care for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, agitation, impulsiveness, self-harm or other risk behaviors enabling patients to maintain or enhance function during the hospital stay.

EducationHigh School Grad or Equivalent

Certification/LicensureBLS required within 90 days of hire.

ExperiencePrior healthcare experience or enrollment in a health sciences program strongly preferred.Background with mental health/behavioral health is a plus!Core competencies for all safety partners to include communication, confidentiality, de-escalation, fall prevention, patient safety, restraints, stroke, and suicide.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$15.75 - $20.46. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
