Role & Responsibilities
 

1. Conduct inspections and provide recommendations to employers, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.
2. Analyze workplace strengths and weaknesses, establishing standards to prevent hazards. Present these findings to management.
3. Assess safety threats within the workplace, including electrical and mechanical systems throughout the premises. A thorough evaluation of all areas is required.
4. Present safety-related plans and projects, outlining their potential impacts for employers.
5. Inspect and assess workplace safety and risks across all operational areas.
6. Mandate and conduct safety training.
7. Participate in workplace environmental and safety assessments, including the review of all safety documentation.
8. Develop and implement safety initiatives within the work unit to meet legal and company standards.
9. Present and assess hazardous situations to facilitate immediate rectification and prevent future occurrences.
10. Collect and compile safety statistics and information for employers, aiding in the development of more stable, accurate safety planning and the reduction of high-risk areas.
11. Demonstrate creativity and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Qualifications

Experience: 1-3 years

Education: A Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the following disciplines is required:

Bachelor of Science (Occupational Health and Safety)

Bachelor of Public Health (Occupational Health and Safety)

Bachelor of Engineering (Safety Engineering)

Alternatively, an equivalent qualification is acceptable.

Flexible and willing to work shifts.
