Our manufacturing client is seeking a proactive and strategic Safety Director to lead its companywide safety program. This new role will oversee safety initiatives across three plants and a grain elevator, working closely with plant-level safety personnel to standardize practices and strengthen the culture of safety. The Safety Director will bring a program-level perspective, developing policies, procedures, and training that reduce incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, with the opportunity to build, shape and grow the safety function. Responsibilities:Develop and implement companywide safety policies, procedures, and training programs.Mentor and support plant-level safety staff, ensuring consistent practices across all facilities.Lead incident tracking, reporting, and root cause analysis, with a focus on prevention and continuous improvement.Oversee and participate in weekly safety meetings and monthly incident reviews.Revamp and guide safety committees to drive engagement and accountability.Manage workers’ compensation reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance documentation. Qualifications and Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Manager, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or agricultural settings.Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site safety programs and staff.Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, workers’ comp, and safety reporting systems.CSP (Certified Safety Professional) credential preferred.Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.Relocation required if not local, assistance is provided.
