Safety Manager

Reporting directly to the plant manager at our Milton, PA manufacturing facility, local producers of Chef Boyardee, you will manage plant Safety programs to provide a safe and accident-free work environment. You will lead the implementation of a facility-wide safety culture through technical support and program development. Implement important safety concepts to provide the road map to zero injuries and world class performance. Promote plant safety and sustainability stewardship by working with all departments to analyze current situation and recommend improvements.

How Can You Improve Our Business?Develop the plant's health and safety programs in compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA, and corporate standards.Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and ergonomic evaluations.Manager Worker's Compensation claims and track injury and illness statistics to help identify safety concerns by trend analysis and provide recommendations to minimize these concerns.Ensure all team members receive required annual training including Alchemy trainings.Be the plant's subject matter expert for all health and safety-related matters.Ensure all safety documentation, injury logs, and reports are accurate and submitted.Manage safety metrics and prepare reports for plant leadership.Partner with maintenance and operations to ensure safety is integrated into equipment design, changes, and preventive maintenance.Promote and lead employee safety committees, encouraging engagement at all levels.Be a liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections or investigations.Support emergency preparedness and response planning for site security.Maintain the LOTO program.Review, assess, and update emergency evacuation routes, emergency response training, and conduct emergency preparedness drills for the plant.Lead and document monthly safety committee meetings.Do You Have What It Takes?Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of Safety Leadership experience manufacturing or process-based industry.Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems, and industry best practices.3+ years experience leading teams and influencing culture change

Compensation: 

Pay Range:$81,000-$118,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
