About This Role

                                                                                                         

As a Safety Engineer, the role will conduct activities applicable to contracted System Safety Plans in like with local and federal government safety regulations. The role will involve conducting safety assessments, hazard analysis, safety working groups and ensuring that all training systems meet applicable safety standards and regulations throughout the training system lifecycle.

The role we are offering you

Participate in design reviews and provide safety input during all phases of the system development lifecycleConduct system safety analysesDevelop and maintain safety documentation including safety cases, hazard logs and risk assessmentsEnsure compliance with relevant safety standardsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety requirements are understood and met

Our ideal candidate has:

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or similar discipline, or equivalent working experience – ideally in systems engineeringPreferably have experience in the defence industryExperience and exposure to simulation-based environments is highly desirableProven experience developing and maintain safety engineering frameworks

Location:

Homebush, NSWWe operate a hybrid working approach.Your role may involve some national and international travel

Security requirements

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
