The Safety/Driving Eligibility Assistant primarily answers and follows-up on incoming calls from the “How Am I Driving” program, including TM communication and point assessment. This team member will professionally answer complaint calls and gather information that will be utilized to improve driver safety performance. The Safety/Driving Eligibility Assistant assists store and Distribution Center management with systems and process questions related to Motor Vehicle Records (MVR’s).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Administer the “How Am I Driving” program including accepting and professionally handling customers/callers. Communicating incidents to managers/supervisors, identifying drivers, following up to ensure corrective action forms are received, and assess points accordingly.
Process and distribute mail to the Safety Team.
Process disqualifying offences that are reported according to department procedure and ensure that new MVR’s are ordered according to policy.
Work with stores and DC’s to ensure the MVR dashboard reflects accurate data.
Assist store and DC management with questions regarding MVRs, MVR entry, driver eligibility, and any other process or determination issue.
Notify store and DC management of ineligible drivers, as well as identify drivers that additional information is needed.
Ensure that all red-light citations are processed, to include point assessment and monetary deduction from TMs account(s) when drivers are identified.
Enter motor vehicle accident data into team members’ MVR.
Ensure compliment calls are communicated to the store/DC’s and ‘You Rock” awards are sent to the team member identified.
Recommend solutions and assist in identifying trends and suggestions to reduce motor vehicle accident frequency.
Communicate with and assist Store and DC leadership in all aspects of our delivery policies and eligibility by maintaining a high customer service level, without compromising the company’s legal position.
Follow-up to ensure MVR and drug test are completed as per policy and follow-up compliance checks are made.
Other job duties as assigned
Work with Risk Department management and team members in other risk management areas to ensure coverage to meet customer needs are met as assigned.
Provide department back up as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets and related software
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong detail orientation
Desired:College degree or some advanced training
Knowledge of O’Reilly Auto Parts store and distribution center operations
