Our client, a prominent manufacturing company in Philadelphia, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. Proactive and detail-oriented, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting compliance, training, and workplace safety initiatives. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and a passion for fostering a culture of safety.

About the Job:

Ensure compliance with all plant safety and environmental programs, including maintaining and updating written safety plans.Facilitate the Safety Committee by coordinating agendas, maintaining records, and conducting compliance audits with follow-up work orders.Lead safety and health training initiatives, including new hire orientation, weekly huddles, and annual employee training.Conduct employee incident investigations and root cause analysis, maintaining accurate documentation and training records.Collaborate with plant management to identify and reduce workplace risks through ergonomic evaluations and job safety analysis.Oversee compliance with safety inspections (fire equipment, AEDs, ladders, respirators, etc.) and maintain labor law postings.Maintain communication between the Safety Department and Human Resources to support a culture of workplace safety.

About You:

1+ years of experience in a safety-related role; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable about OSHA regulations.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Holds or willing to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification; understanding of RMP and PSM is a plus.Comfortable working in diverse environments, including cold/wet conditions (28-35°F), and performing moderate physical activity.Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus!
