About this RoleTaylor’s Construction, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support safe work practices across telecommunications and utility construction projects. This role will work closely with field crews, supervisors, and leadership to promote safety compliance, reinforce safe work behaviors, and support execution in active construction environments.
This position is best suited for individuals with hands-on field experience in telecom construction, utility work, or similar environments who are looking to transition into or grow within a safety-focused role. Taylor’s Construction performs both aerial and underground fiber installation, trenching, boring, and utility pole work, requiring strong awareness of field hazards and safety expectations.
What You'll Do Support daily jobsite safety activities including job briefings, hazard assessments, and safety observationsIdentify unsafe conditions or behaviors and work with crews and supervisors to implement corrective actionsEnsure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and client safety requirementsAssist with incident, near-miss, and hazard reporting, including documentation and follow-upReinforce safe work practices related to aerial work, trenching, boring, traffic control, and equipment operationConduct site inspections and support safety audits across multiple job sitesCommunicate safety expectations clearly to field crews and support a safety-first cultureAssist with safety training efforts and onboarding for new employees What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalentPrior experience in a safety-related role, preferredHands-on experience in telecommunications, utility construction, or related field environments strongly preferredBackground as a lineman, groundman, foreman, equipment operator, or similar field role highly desirableWorking knowledge of construction safety standards and best practicesOSHA 500 or similar instructor-level certification, preferredStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with field teamsWillingness to travel to job sites and work in outdoor construction environments What You'll GetAs a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.
