Safety Coordinator
Job Title: Safety SupervisorJob Description

As a Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will ensure adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules, develop training programs for managers and employees on work site safety practices, and conduct analyses of industrial accident causes and health hazards. Your role will also involve inspecting facilities to identify potential hazards, leading accident investigations, and compiling accident reports required by regulatory agencies.

ResponsibilitiesPlan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Ensure compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.Develop and conduct training programs on work site safety practices, fire prevention, and material handling techniques.Prepare studies and analyses of industrial accident causes and health hazards.Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards and recommend corrective measures.Provide information and materials to warn of potential safety hazards.Lead investigations of accidents and injuries and prepare materials for legal and insurance purposes.Compile and submit accident reports required by regulatory agencies.Prepare safety exhibits and materials for industry conferences and exhibitions.Essential SkillsExpertise in safety procedures and OSHA compliance.Proficiency in safety training and program development.Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections.Strong understanding of EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 30 certification.Experience in site safety management.Strong communication and leadership skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role operates on a 6am-2:30pm shift in an outdoor/shop environment that is highly industrial, involving the use of large equipment such as cranes for cutting, bending, and forming steel. The work environment is indoors but exposed to various weather conditions, including cold, hot, or wet settings. It is a loud, dirty, and industrial atmosphere with metal clanking noises. Employees must be comfortable working in confined spaces and climbing ladders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
