About this RoleThe Safety Coordinator at Ampacity is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive safety programs across our clean energy projects. This role serves as the primary liaison between field operations, management, and safety personnel to ensure regulatory compliance, support safety culture development, and maintain the highest standards of workplace safety across our organization.
Travel up to 75% to job sites to provide on-site safety coordination and support. Projects may require being onsite for 1-2 months, depending on project scope and size.
Typical Work Environment
Active solar construction sites with heavy machinery, power tools, and construction equipment in operation. 100% outdoor work environment subject to extreme weather conditions including snow and high heat, with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and uneven terrain. Work at various heights requiring fall protection equipment. Position may require unexpected travel and relocation to project sites with short notice.Physical Expectations
This work is physically demanding in nature and requires constant lifting of 30 – 50 pounds, unassisted, with lifts of 50+ pounds requiring assistance. Working schedule will be 8 – 10 hours a day and 5 – 6 days a week (weather permitting). Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and crawl for extended periods while operating tools and equipment safely. Must be able to participate in required training hours as assigned.
