What We Offer + Schedule : 7:00am - 7:00pm PRN + Department : Emergency Department + Location : Forsyth Medical Center – Winston Salem, NC + Unit description: Work in both the Main ED and ED Behavioral Health. Our ED is about 58 beds, services patients from 15 counties and on average we see about 190-240 patients a day. ED - BH is an 18 bed secured unit designed for individuals experiencing psychiatric crises, requiring immediate and intensive intervention. Novant Health is seeking a Safety Attendant to provide one-on-one observation of selected patients for the purpose of identifying behaviors which are potentially hazardous to self or others in accordance with facility policies and procedures; and report needs and concerns to licensed nurse. What We're Looking For + Education: High school or GED required. + Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred. Licensure/certification/registration (required) + De-Escalation Techniques (within 90 days of employment) + Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment) + Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) Training (within 90 days after completion of De-Escalation Training) + Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing as applicable. Is knowledgeable regarding guidelines for infection control, body substance precautions, patient safety, and body mechanics.
