Safety Associate- 2nd Shift
Starting pay $21.50 an hour Plus $1.50 shift differential from 6PM-6AM. Summary Safety Associate Safety inspection and provide inputs for safety improvements for plant manufacturing. Responsibilities Inspect machinery processes and procedures to ensure good health and safety practices Monitor the production line and check if workers follow safety rules Conduct daily safety training for new and current employees Conduct safety training on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc) Carry out examinations of machinery, working environments and structures, taking measurements of noise, heat, and vibrations, and taking photographs and samples where necessary Ensure workers are provided with suitable protective equipment, such as ear protection or appropriate types of gloves and clothing Investigate precautions taken to prevent industrial diseases Investigate procedures for working in hazardous environments or with potentially harmful substances Investigate accidents and complaints and determine if there has been a breach of health and safety law Report on results of inspections and investigations Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a mannerconsistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct. Preferred Qualifications Education: High School diploma required Years of Related Experience: Produciton experience preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Intermediate personal computer skills including MicroSoft Office. Strong communication skills. and reasoning skills to provide a positive work environment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
