Safety Analysis Leader
Job Description
Position title: Lead Safety Analysis
Working Location: Singapore
Tenure: 1 year contract
Salary Offered: Open for discussion
Responsibilities:
•Lead and facilitate HAZOP, HAZID, and other safety reviews across project phases.
•Develop and maintain safety analysis documentation, including risk registers, safety reports, and action tracking.
•Coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure safety recommendations are implemented effectively.
•Review and validate process design documents, P&IDs, and cause & effect diagrams for safety compliance.
•Support the development of safety philosophies, SIL studies, and QRA reports.
•Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies on safety-related matters.
•Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior safety engineers.
•Ensure alignment with industry standards such as API, ASME, IEC 61511, and company HSE policies.

Qualifications
•Educational Background: Hold a bachelor's degree or above in relevant majors such as safety engineering, petroleum and natural gas engineering. Preference will be given to those with relevant professional qualification certificates such as a registered safety engineer.
•Industry and Project Experience: at least 15 years of experience in safety analysis work in the petroleum and natural gas industry; as a professional leader, have completed at least 3 HAZID, HAZOP analysis or special safety analysis projects and have rich practical experience.
•Professional Skills: Master the principles, methods, and processes of international mainstream safety analysis and workshops, and be capable of independently organizing relevant safety analysis and workshops to effectively promote the safety analysis work.
•Familiarity with Regional Standards: Have an in - depth understanding of the safety design standards, specifications, and local safety management practices for offshore oil and gas development platforms in the Qatar region to ensure that the safety analysis and management work meet local requirements.
•Communication and Coordination Skills: Have good English communication and expression skills, and be able to communicate efficiently and smoothly with the client, the project team, and other relevant parties; possess excellent coordination skills to effectively handle various issues and conflicts in safety work.
•Problem - Solving Skills: Be quick - thinking and logical. During the safety analysis and project implementation process, be able to promptly identify potential safety hazards and problems and propose practical solutions.
•Team Management Skills: Have good team leadership and management skills to effectively lead the safety team to carry out work and inspire the enthusiasm and creativity of team members.
•Other Requirements: Have a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism, and be able to withstand the work pressure brought by the project; understand the safety management mode of international offshore oil and gas projects. Preference will be given to those with work experience in projects in the Qatar region; preference will be given to those familiar with the standards of Shell and QP companies; be able to work in Singapore on a long - term basis (approximately 2 years).
