The Places Safety and Security Integrated Intelligence and Technology Architect will be a pivotal leader responsible for safeguarding the organization's personnel, facilities, assets, and operations worldwide through a unified approach to security. This role demands a visionary strategist with deep technical expertise in physical security systems, a keen analytical mind for intelligence and threat assessment, and proven leadership in threat detection. The successful candidate will drive the development and implementation of a holistic security strategy, ensuring proactive risk mitigation, robust system architecture, and effective crisis response.
**What you'll bring**
This high-level position requires a robust combination of education, extensive experience, deep technical knowledge, and exceptional leadership skills.
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Security Management, Emergency Management, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Master's degree preferred in a related field.
+ Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience (or equivalent combination from relevant sources of 7-10+ years) in physical security systems design, implementation, and management, intelligence analysis, threat assessment, crisis management, or related security roles, with a proven track record of leading complex, global projects.
+ Experience working with security systems and intelligence in a global environment is essential.
Technical Expertise:
+ Deep understanding of physical security technologies, including access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection, mass communication, and related incident/case management systems (e.g., AMAG, Genetec, Everbridge, ExacqVision, Avigilon).
+ Deep knowledge of intelligence gathering methodologies, analytical techniques, and risk assessment frameworks.
+ Advanced experience using AI and various AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini, ChatGBT, etc).
+ Experience with open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and social media monitoring, as well as deep and dark web environments.
+ Proficiency in/and understanding of software development and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/Node.js), API integrations, data pipelines, and database management (SQL, MongoDB).
+ Solid understanding of network architecture, protocols, and cybersecurity principles.
+ Experience with cloud-based physical security systems and integrating them with on-premises infrastructure.
+ Experience with regulatory compliance, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
+ Experience working with intelligence platforms and tools.

+ Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex global projects simultaneously (CPM preferred).
+ Experience in vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
+ High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Relevant certifications such as Certified Intelligence Professional (CIP), Global Certified Investigator (GCI), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM).
+ Strong partnerships with law enforcement, government threat centers, and private sector security intelligence groups (OSAC, DSAC, Infragard).
+ Proficiency in multiple languages.
**How you will lead**
This role will encompass two primary areas of responsibility: Physical Security System Design & Management. This leader will spearhead the design, implementation, and management of the global physical safety and security technology infrastructure, integrating advanced and innovative solutions.
Strategic Leadership and Vision:
+ Champion and define a global physical safety and security technical security strategy deeply integrated with Intuit's business objectives.
+ Proactively envision future safety and security challenges and lead the development of innovative, end-to-end, intelligence and AI driven security technology solutions.
Systems Architecture and Design:
+ Provide executive-level leadership for the design and implementation of complex, global safety and security system architectures.
+ Ensure strategic alignment and buy-in from senior stakeholders across the organization throughout the design process.
Innovation and Development:
+ Lead the strategic direction for the development of novel safety and security technical solutions, automation tools, and advanced data analytics platforms.
+ Prioritize and direct development efforts based on their alignment with Intuit's most critical strategic imperatives.
Platform Management and Optimization:
+ Establish and maintain a long-term vision for safety and security systems and platforms, ensuring global health, performance, and scalability.
+ Spearhead the strategic change management roadmap for platform evolution, securing necessary resources and fostering organizational commitment.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
+ Define and oversee the implementation of comprehensive data strategies to aggregate and analyze safety and security data from diverse global sources.
+ Present actionable, strategic insights derived from this data to senior executive leadership, informing Intuit's strategic direction.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
+ Cultivate and lead strategic partnerships with Global Safety and Security
+ Operations and Program teams, IT, People & Places, and other key global departments.
+ Ensure alignment and secure executive-level support for global security initiatives through effective stakeholder engagement.
Vendor and Integrator Management:
+ Develop and execute a strategic, collaborative framework for managing relationships with global safety and security vendors and systems integrators.
+ Drive strategic alignment of Vendor/Partner relationships with Intuit's long-term global security vision and objectives.
Standards and Compliance:
+ Establish and enforce global physical safety and security standards and policies, ensuring comprehensive compliance with relevant international regulations and industry best practices.
+ Proactively influence organizational adoption and adherence to evolving global security standards and anticipate future compliance needs.
Mentorship and Development:
+ Provide strategic guidance and leadership to a team of safety, technical security and physical security professionals across the globe.
+ Model and promote the consistent application of effective decision-making and accountability frameworks throughout the team's global workstreams.
Break-Fix and Incident Response Support:
+ Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for the resolution of critical global safety and security systems issues.
+ Lead organizational change initiatives aimed at implementing proactive preventive measures based on comprehensive global incident analysis.
Regulatory and IP Protection Compliance:
+ Ensure all physical systems comply with international security standards.
+ Embed protective mechanisms for intellectual property, trade secrets, and R&D operations.
+ Safety and Security Integrated Intelligence Solutions. The role will involve leading strategic intelligence collection and analysis to identify and assess threats, implement mitigation strategies, and provide intelligence.
Strategic Intelligence Collection and Analysis:
+ Proactively collect and analyze information from various sources to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks.
+ Monitor open and covert sources for physical security threats, targeting, impersonation, or fraudulent activity.
Intelligence Synthesis and Database Management:
+ Lead the synthesis of large volumes of intelligence data into actionable insights and assess the credibility and reliability of sources.
+ Build and maintain a comprehensive threat intelligence database to track incidents and threat actors.
Threat Actor Tracking and Analysis:
+ Partner with stakeholders on detecting and investigating threat actor chatter and marketplace activity related to company-affiliated credentials or employee data.
+ Track adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to inform protective strategies.
Threat Assessments and Reporting:
+ Produce timely and accurate intelligence reports, alerts, and incident response briefings for relevant stakeholders, clearly communicating the potential impact of threats.
+ Produce tailored threat assessments for events, company travel, and high-risk locations.
Risk Mitigation and Prevention Support:
+ Partner with security teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
+ Recommend security enhancements, policy changes, or training based on intelligence findings, and support crisis management with real-time intelligence monitoring.
Intelligence:
+ Work closely with Executive Protection teams to support proactive and real-time monitoring and analysis for known or emerging threats, with enhanced coverage for high-profile personnel including during travel.
+ Establish processes for monitoring threat actors with defined escalation thresholds.
Relationship Building and Information Sharing:
+ Foster strong working relationships with all levels of law enforcement public safety agencies globally.
+ Establish relationships with key intelligence sources and partners, and engage in trusted intelligence sharing communities.
Continuous Improvement:
+ Stay ahead of emerging threats, trends, and best practices to continuously improve and elevate security intelligence.
+ Evaluate and enhance intelligence workflows and identify/implement new tools and technologies.

Bay Area California $177,500 - 240,500
Southern California $171,500 - 232,000
