Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Safety, Health & Environment Specialist II to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety, health, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Develop and implement comprehensive safety, health, and environmental policies and proceduresConduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actionsLead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and propose preventive measuresDesign and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels of the organizationMonitor and ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, safety regulations, and industry-specific standardsPrepare and maintain safety documentation, including reports, permits, and regulatory filingsCollaborate with management to integrate safety practices into all aspects of operationsAnalyze safety data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvementCoordinate with external agencies and regulatory bodies on safety-related mattersStay updated on emerging safety technologies and best practices in the field

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field3-5 years of experience in safety, health, and environmental management, preferably in industrial or construction settingsIn-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and environmental management systemsProficiency in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation techniquesStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply safety data to drive improvementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence othersProficient in MS Office suite and familiar with safety management softwareRelevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) preferredKnowledge of UAE labor laws and safety regulationsExperience in developing and implementing safety training programsStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel to various work sites as needed
