Job Description

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Philippines office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.

The Role

This People Leader is responsible for managing a team of finance professionals who handle Order Management day-to-day customer orders, shipment status, and finance-related activities of supply chain; and migrations, if any, into the area from various organizations (business units, other GBS sites, etc.). This role also has a strong focus to lead process improvements and automation to drive quality, compliance, and acceleration of activities. More importantly, the People Leader plays a key role in maintaining a culture of success such as developing, coaching, motivating, and evaluating his/her team members' performance on a regular and consistent basis; and in guiding them in their career aspirations and career pathing.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for managing a team of finance professionals who handle day-to-day customer orders and supplier shipments activities and migration of these activities into the area from various organizations (business units, other GBS sites, etc.)Responsible for managing the execution of: Backend operation processes of Order Management (Order to Delivery/Procure to Pay), ensuring that processing is done with high quality – accurate, timely and completePartnering and Liaising with Key Stakeholders including but not limited to External/Internal Dealers & Suppliers, Logistics and Purchasing & Supply ChainAnalyzing and interpreting data for reporting requirementsEnsuring compliance with GM Corporate policies and external regulatory requirementsSupporting internal and external auditsInteracting with internal/external related parties (Stakeholders, Dealers, Suppliers, Logistics, GPSC, Finance Teams, etc.)Understands, promotes and documents an environment of effective controls within team and ensure team members understand company and regulatory requirements (i.e. SOX, record retention, audit, etc.) and are continually verifying all their actions and processes for complianceSupport internal and external auditsConsidered a leader and/or technical expert in areas of responsibilities and can ensure requirements are understood and met by internal and external resourcesBring any suspected issues (accounting or control related) forward immediately and works to quickly find solutions theretoStrong focus on leading process improvements (including LEAN/OPEX) and automation to drive quality accounting and compliance, including: Working with the global teams on standardization and process improvement projectsWorking effectively across teamsAbility to redefine processes and push for automation as neededTroubleshooting of issues/systems/processes to identify/develop/ implement process for continuous improvements and ensure delivery of efficient and effective processesWork on special projects and prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as neededAdept on people leadership such as to:Train, develop, coach, motivate, and evaluate employeesDevelop appropriate employee goal setting/CAP and development linked to specific job function goals, and assist with training, coaching, developing and evaluating employeesDevelop and implement improvements to create efficiencies, drive communization, and obtain savingsTimely, consistent, and effective communication of operational and other team matters with GBS Manager

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)​​ 

BA in Finance/Supply Chain/Accounting/Business or equivalent with strong foundation and experience in a shared service environmentMinimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in people leadershipExperience in implementation, project management/leading, defining and re-engineering a processSAP knowledge and experienceIt is an advantage that the candidate has knowledge of financial reporting implications of transactions within Supply Chain – sourcing, procurement, and customer order deliveryPhysical presence at the office as required by the needs of the team or the organization such as workshops, training & development, office events (Townhalls, All People Meeting, etc.)
