Job Description

OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:

The Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for supporting the strategic and day-to-day financial operations of Rosewood Amaala in accordance with Rosewood’s financial policies, brand standards, and corporate compliance protocols. This role serves as a key business partner to operational leaders, delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, budgetary control, and performance analysis to enable informed decision-making. The incumbent ensures financial integrity, compliance with local regulations, and alignment with Rosewood’s commitment to excellence in luxury hospitality.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Director of Finance – Business Partner in leading the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in accordance with Rosewood corporate guidelines and timelines. Oversee daily finance operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Rosewood internal control policies and local regulatory requirements. Ensure all financial reporting complies with Rosewood’s uniform system of accounts, financial SOPs, and internal audit standards. Support timely month-end and year-end closing procedures, preparing accurate financial statements and variance reports in line with brand and corporate expectations. Monitor departmental financial performance and provide insightful analysis and recommendations to optimize profitability and cost control. Collaborate with department heads to review operational results and align financial strategies with guest service and operational objectives. Maintain strong internal control systems and risk mitigation practices, in compliance with Rosewood’s policies on financial integrity, fraud prevention, and data protection. Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring all audit requirements are met and corrective actions are implemented when necessary. Assist in capital expenditure planning, fixed asset management, and ROI analysis, ensuring projects are aligned with Rosewood’s financial governance frameworks. Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital performance to support smooth operational continuity and sustainable financial health. Support the development, mentorship, and performance evaluation of the Finance team, fostering a culture that upholds Rosewood’s guiding principles and service philosophy. Stay informed about changes in local tax laws, accounting standards, and industry trends, and ensure alignment with Rosewood’s global financial compliance practices.

 QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline. Professional certification (CPA, CA, CMA) is highly preferred.Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive financial experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within a luxury hospitality environment.Deep understanding of financial systems, internal controls, and statutory requirements applicable in Saudi Arabia.Strong proficiency in financial software (e.g., SUN, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, manage budgets, and provide actionable insights.
