The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an inspiring and highly strategic senior leader to join our Inclusive Collection as Regional VP of Operations. In this role, you will oversee the operational, financial, and strategic performance of the hotels within your region, ensuring alignment with company strategy, brand standards, and quality expectations. The Role

As Regional VP of Operations, you will oversee all operational and business performance for the hotels within your assigned region. This includes strategic leadership, financial oversight, guest and colleague experience, brand consistency, and the development of future talent.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Financial Leadership

Direct oversight of management and results of all business units in the region.

Continuously track revenue streams, sales strategies, and action plans for package and non-package revenue.

Ensure effective cost management and alignment with budget guidelines.

Monitor GOP and financial KPIs for each property.

Conduct monthly on-site inspection visits to all hotels in the region.

Owner Relations

Maintain a proactive, transparent, and collaborative relationship with hotel owners.

Attend regular meetings with owners and prepare Executive Summary minutes with follow-up actions.

Closely monitor the implementation of agreed-upon action plans.

Strategy Execution Business Planning

Implement corporate guidelines, strategies, and policies established by HIC Corporate.

Lead the planning, development, and follow-up of annual budgets for all business units in the region.

Participate fully in weekly hotel forecasts and ensure corrective action plans are executed.

Organize quarterly face-to-face Regional GM meetings and submit Executive Summaries to the Group President.

Performance, Standards Guest/Colleague Experience

Review financial indicators, forecasts, and results across all properties.

Share best practices and ensure successful operational initiatives are replicated across the region.

Identify and resolve cross-regional opportunity areas (demographics, suppliers, risks, threats, opportunities).

Ensure full compliance with all company guidelines, brand attributes, and quality standards.

Oversee guest satisfaction metrics (SSH, VSQ, e-Survey, TripAdvisor) and colleague engagement metrics (SSI, turnover, absenteeism).

Promote innovation, differentiation, and forward-thinking operational strategies.

Monitor and support sustainability initiatives across the region.

Human Capital Talent Development

Identify high-potential talent within hotel Executive Operations Committees for career development.

Coordinate development plans for future openings in partnership with GMs and Corporate HR.

Collaborate with other Regional VPs and Corporate HR to build a regional talent pipeline.

Ensure active participation in training and development programs, including HIC Training Center.

Development New Openings

Support the Corporate Development Team by tracking all project components within the region.

Lead operational planning and execution for new projects, acquisitions, or takeovers.

Oversee development and career plans for executives involved in openings.

Communication Corporate Reporting

Maintain daily communication with the Group President, providing updates and follow-ups.

Prepare a weekly Executive Report including:

Key highlights

Upcoming agenda (travel, meetings, projects)

VIP stays and special events

Prepare a monthly follow-up report including:

Executive summary of property results

VIP and complimentary room summary

Guest and colleague satisfaction summaries

TripAdvisor standings

Status of regional projects and negotiations

10 years of senior-level operational leadership in hospitality or a related field.

Proven experience overseeing multiple properties or business units.

Strong financial acumen and a track record of delivering operational and profitability improvements.

Experience working with hotel ownership groups.

Experience Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Tourism, or a related discipline.

Professional certifications in operations, finance, leadership, or related areas.

Expertise with hospitality systems, financial reporting tools, and performance management platforms.
