Responsibilities Develop and Implement Regional Growth Strategy: Collaborate with local sales leadership to identify business drivers and evaluate outcomes. Cultivate positive connections with key clients and brokers, representing the company at gatherings and events. Impact global process evolution and act as a specialist and intermediary for other business units. Build Organizational Capability: Hire, lead, and retain talent while providing training and development opportunities. Engage in development and succession planning of current leaders, promoting business literacy and proficiency development. Ensure office culture is perpetuated through expert hiring and recognizing and rewarding results. Coordinate Leadership Positions and Team Members: Direct team in developing individualized business plans to support retention, profitability, and growth goals. Engage with account management consultants, account executives, and client relationship consultants to understand overall case profitability, market pressures, and long-term opportunities. Boost Business Development and Deployment: Supervise teams in the accurate pricing, enrollment, and implementation of group business. Engage in discussions on new business acquisition and customer interactions, providing expert advice to inform leadership decisions. Monitor regional financial plan and expenditures in compliance with company regulations. Cultivate Cooperation with Home Office Partners: Establish effective collaboration with home office partners to ensure a coordinated approach to customer service excellence and achieving goals. Who You Are Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, plus 8+ years of related work experience Formal leadership experience required Group benefits experience preferred Must be able to acquire and maintain all required state licenses (i.e., Life & Health License), as outlined by the Principal Financial Group within 90 days. Active license preferred Requires significant leadership and analytical skills as well as excellent skills in problem solving, oral and written communication Ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building Ability to run high stakes meetings internally and externally Must have strong time management and decision-making skills Requires ability to develop effective relationships and motivate producer behavior as well as excellent presentation skills Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential May spend up to 40% of time out of the office in face-to-face contact with customers and brokers Some travel may be required, including overnight stays (~25%) Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $137000 - $175000 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible Yes Location Primary location will be in Dallas, TX or Houston, TX with regional travel expectations.
