The RRI conducts innovative research and program evaluation that address critical community issues. We work at the intersection of research, practice, training, and policy with local, state, regional, national, and international agencies and partners. The quality of our community-based participatory action work has gained us a national reputation. Position Summary The goal of the Oregon Supported Employment Center of Excellence (OSECE) is to support the implementation and sustainability of the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) model of Supported Employment in Oregon, ensuring that the services are consistent with the evidence-based IPS model, Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs), and current research.
The OSECE Office Specialist 2 will support the operations of the Oregon Supported Employment Center of Excellence (OSECE). Tasks include:
Training coordination – use knowledge of Supported Employment and organizations providing Supported Employment services to engage with community partners and manage logistics and payments for trainings at community sites. Assist trainers with coordination, contracts and invoicing, and travel. Schedule rooms, order food and coordinate delivery, oversee production of training materials, and solve logistical problems. Coordinate continuing education units (CEUs).
Work with administrative units at PSU on purchasing, travel authorization and reimbursement, and staff expense reimbursements. Use the university’s fiscal system to work with vendors, order supplies, and create Personal Service contracts and invoices. Assist in website and social media maintenance and implementation.
Respond to email and website inquiries, and help manage OSECE’s busy inboxes. Participate in weekly team meetings and monthly meetings with state partners; produce agendas and minutes for meetings, and disseminate meeting materials. Minimum Qualifications from Classification Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR
Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology AND one year of general clerical experience.
Note:
College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks, set boundaries, and meet deadlines Ability to manage a balanced workload Adept at Microsoft Office, A/V set up, and online interface tools and documents; proficient in MS Excel Ability to engage with co-workers and community partners for scheduling, event support, and additional administrative requests Preferred Qualifications Bilingual or fluent in a second language Knowledge or experience with diverse communities/populations; and/or experience applying a diversity, equity and inclusion lens to work tasks Knowledge or experience in Supported Employment, and/or organizations providing those services Ability to implement a website and social media components Ability to listen and develop rapport and relate well with community partners through a trauma informed/equity lens Creative, result-oriented, self-starting, willing to learn, and able to manage multiple ongoing projects Knowledge of PSU’s Banner system, OnBase travel authorizations and reimbursements, PeopleAdmin, Drupal, Zoom, Google Hangout, Doodle, and other platforms Personal or professional experience or knowledge of serious mental illness (SMI) challenges and behavioral health services in Oregon Key Cultural Competencies Creates an environment that acknowledges, encourages and celebrates differences.
