Royalty Analyst/AR
Description We are looking for a meticulous Royalty Analyst/AR to join our team in New York, New York. This position focuses on managing royalty accounting, overseeing licensee reporting, and handling accounts receivable operations across a diverse portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex royalty structures and building effective relationships with licensing partners across various categories. Responsibilities: • Monitor and reconcile royalty payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. • Review and analyze licensee reports for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to licensing terms. • Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and cash application. • Communicate with licensing partners to address discrepancies and resolve payment issues in a timely manner. • Maintain detailed records of financial transactions related to royalties and accounts receivable. • Collaborate with internal teams to support financial reporting and ensure proper allocation of royalty revenues. • Conduct audits of royalty statements to verify compliance and identify any variances. • Assist with billing functions and ensure timely issuance of invoices to licensees. • Generate reports and provide insights into royalty and accounts receivable trends. • Support the implementation of tools or systems to streamline royalty and AR processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable and royalty accounting, preferably in a licensing or brand management environment. • Strong proficiency in cash collections, cash applications, and billing functions. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage complex financial data. • Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external partners. • Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume transactions with accuracy. • Proficiency with relevant accounting software and tools. • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
