Rover Engineer
**Overview** **The Rover Building Engineer provides mobile support across multiple properties, ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems. This role is critical in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of commercial real estate facilities.** **Pay: $40.00/hour** The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. **401(k)** – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members (https://wpe-media.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/ABM\_2025\_Employee\_Benefits\_Frontline\_v2\_English\_9.5.24.pdf) | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. + Respond to service requests and emergencies across assigned properties. + Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment, including lighting, boilers, chillers, and pumps. + Assist with grounds maintenance, painting, drywall, and general repairs. + Monitor building system performance and ensure compliance with operational standards. + Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent. + Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations. + Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. + Travel between sites as needed, providing flexible coverage and support. **Qualifications:** + **Valid driver’s license.** + High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing preferred. + 3+ years of experience in building maintenance or engineering. + Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across locations. + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
