Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Brazil is looking for an experienced professional to lead the forecasting process and content of critical input metrics to its last mile capacity planning process.
The Route Planning SME (Subject Matter Expert) will be responsible for statistically determining projections for the expected shipments per route (SPR) metric at Amazon last mile delivery network. He/She will work with complex sets of data to define this critical input at the most granular level (per vehicle type, per city, per day) ans considering multiple input factors such as size of vehicles, size of packages, city demand density, standard traffic/weather conditions, etc).
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead SPR forecasting to optimize operational efficiency
• Develop data-driven solutions with Science teams using Machine Learning (ML) and optimization models
• Create automated processes for large-scale data analysis
• Build and maintain performance tracking dashboards with Business Intelligence (BI) teams
Analytics & Decision Making:
• Transform raw data into actionable business insights
• Define and track key performance indicators
• Implement scalable analytical solutions for business challenges
• Evaluate program effectiveness through quantitative metrics
Cross-functional Leadership:
• Partner with science teams to develop ML optimization models
• Guide capacity planning initiatives aligned with business targets
• Communicate technical concepts effectively across organizations
• Execute operational improvements with multiple teams
Process Improvement:
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks through data analysis
• Implement and monitor continuous improvement programs
• Design efficient processes for network capacity management
• Coordinate with stakeholders to achieve network capacity objectives
To be successful in this role, you must be able to work across disciplines, organizations, and geographies, translating complex technical and operational concepts for varied audiences.

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service, responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to homes and businesses across the planet. Within AMZL Brazil, the Planning & Expansion (P&E) team overlooks 3 main areas in support to AMZL´s operation and growth: (1) Jurisdiction planning and management, driving the growth and optimization of our delivery/pick-up coverage and topology; (2) Capacity planning, ensuring adequate capacity in short/medium/long term to maximize attainment of volume within AMZL´s jurisdiction; and (3) Expansion initiatives, coordinating local efforts on “big rock” projects that enable new types of operations, new sales and delivery channels, modes of transport (Fleet types, micromobility) and end-to-end programmatic coordination of AMZL´s network expansion.
