The Route Coordinator will perform duties related to the routing and dispatching of trucks for both inbound and outbound operations. This position involves utilizing a fleet management program for scheduling, routing, and monitoring the fleet effectively.
ResponsibilitiesPlan and optimize daily truck routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.Dispatch drivers and communicate route assignments clearly and efficiently.Monitor vehicle locations and schedules using GPS or routing software.Coordinate with operations and fleet maintenance teams to ensure trucks are ready for dispatch.Handle inquiries regarding delivery times, pickups, and route changes.Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed to meet operational demands.Maintain accurate records of routes, driver logs, and delivery confirmations.Essential SkillsExperience in dispatching, transportation coordination, or relevant administrative roles.Proficiency in using computer programs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with a fleet management or dispatching program, such as Samsara, is a plus.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a small distribution facility, with most time spent in an office area and some time on the floor. The position operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, adhering to a business casual dress code with closed-toe shoes.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
