A Round Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest experience while consistently contributing to departmental targets.

What will I be doing?
As a Round Cook, you would be responsible for providing shift relief for breakfast, dinner, station, and second cooks in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Prepares and properly garnishes all food orders in accordance with menu specificationsPrepares sauces, soups and hot entrees in accordance with menuPresents food using proper plate presentation techniquesCoordinates completion of menu items with serverSets up for meals by ensuring proper amounts are in place for forecasted covers, special functions and any reservationsOrganizes and maintains work areas, coolers and storage areasPrepares work checklist and organizes work stations for each shiftRequisitions food with necessary approvals according to policyTakes proper care of ranges, ovens, broilers, fryers, griddles, utensils and other equipment Adheres to safety and security standards, includingWork area and equipment is cleaned, maintained and organizedEnsuring proper equipment operationWorking knowledge of local health/ sanitation, food storage, and handlingFollow any internal, local health/ sanitation guidelines/procedures to ensure food and beverage safety for guestsEnsure the kitchen is readied for the next shiftSupportive Functions:Performs any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by the supervisor.Keep floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents.Performs other duties as requested, such as moving supplies and equipment, and cleaning up unexpected spills.
