ESSENTIAL TASKS: + Work material through necessary rolls following a prescribed pass sequence to obtain a specific cross section. + Assist in roll changes, set guides, guide boxes and plates following standard procedures. + Assist in set-up and alignment of guides during set-up and rolling to produce specific product. + Maintain production paperwork, mill logs, loading sheets and SFDM functions following standard process. + Assist in the alignment and adjustment of rolls. + Locate and loading of material into furnace. + Maintain and store all parts and tooling in good working condition in designated areas. + Maintain a visual alertness to observe bar shape, defects, and guides to reduce defect level and variations in standard process to improve first pass yield. + Participate in Incident Investigation to determine Root Cause using Problem Solving Skills. + Participate in Standard Work events on processes to reduce cycle time and create a safer work area. + Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
