**Rooms Operations Training Manager**
**Position Summary**
The Rooms Operations Training Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all training and development initiatives within the Front Office department. This role ensures that all Front Office associates are properly trained, knowledgeable, and equipped to deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining operational excellence. The position focuses on onboarding, performance development, compliance training, and continuous improvement of Front Office operations and standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Training & Development**
+ Facilitate onboarding and training programs for Front Office associates, including:
+ Front Desk
+ PBX
+ Rooms Control
+ VIP Services
+ Concierge
+ Coordinate departmental training and development initiatives within the Front Office.
+ Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Front Office operations.
+ Conduct weekly training needs analyses to identify knowledge gaps and development opportunities.
+ Observe and evaluate associates following the completion of training programs to ensure successful knowledge transfer and application.
+ Deliver training programs related to:
+ New Hire Orientation
+ Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
+ Operational Procedures
+ Service Standards
+ Follow-up Development Programs
+ Provide ongoing training and coaching as requested by Front Office leadership.
+ Maintain accurate training records and documentation for all associates.
+ Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to training programs.
**Leadership & Coaching**
+ Partner with Front Office Managers and Supervisors to identify training needs and development opportunities.
+ Guide managers and supervisors in strengthening their coaching and training skills.
+ Provide constructive feedback and performance coaching to associates.
+ Foster a culture of continuous learning, engagement, and professional development.
**Operations Support**
+ Assist Front Office operations as needed to ensure smooth and efficient guest service delivery.
+ Support operational leaders during high occupancy periods, staffing shortages, and special events.
+ Ensure training aligns with departmental goals, guest service standards, and company policies.
**Guest Experience**
+ Promote exceptional guest service standards through training and coaching.
+ Encourage associates to anticipate and respond effectively to guest needs.
+ Ensure all Front Office employees demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and respectful communication with guests and colleagues.
**Qualifications**
**Education & Experience**
+ Minimum one (1) year of Front Desk experience required.
+ Previous training, supervisory, or leadership experience in hotel operations preferred.
+ Hospitality industry experience strongly preferred.
**Knowledge & Skills**
+ Strong leadership and team development skills.
+ Knowledge of Front Office operations, office management systems, and procedures, including billing processes.
+ Proficiency in:
+ Opera PMS
+ Colleague Advantage
+ World of Hyatt Benefits Program
+ Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Physical & Work Requirements**
+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
+ Ability to conduct classroom and hands-on operational training.
+ Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs dictate.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
