Internship Overview To get a clear overview what positions are offered as a trainee, we have created a list of the departments within the Rooms Division. Please be reminded that this information serves as a guide. During the first day at the hotel, we will decide in which department you would develop your skills best. While taking your profile into account, the divisional leader will place you in a department where you will have a great impact. Furthermore, you will have opportunities for lateral service which gives you the change to develop your talents in other departments.
FRONT OFFICE: Front office areas include Bell/Door Staff, Guest experience, Guest Relation and Reception. takes ownership of guest needs in a professional and proactive manner to ensure visitors always experience a unique and personalized experience. This varied role involves responding to internal and external phone calls, managing guest requests either pre arrival or onsite as well as special arrangements and queries. be focus on meet, anticipate and exceed guest expectations throughout their stay and will work in a stable and efficient pre-arrival. Process all guest check-ins and check-outs.
HOUSEKEEPING: support to Houskeeping Supervisor Supervising employees and assist housekeeping management in managing daily activities of Housekeeping. Directs and works with employees to ensure property guestrooms, public space and employee areas are clean and well maintained. Completes inspections of guest rooms, public areas, etc. after being cleaned to ensure quality standards are met and holds people accountable for corrective action. Run room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms. Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Document and resolve any issues and complete required paperwork. Assists management in training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process
Spa: Schedule services for individuals and large groups using the hotel's reservation software system spa/salon. Call guests to confirm scheduled services. responder at questions about available services. Update the list of reservations/cancellations throughout the day, inform suppliers of last minute changes and resolve scheduling issues as needed working with supervisor/manager. Register guests for appointments, confirm first and last name and provide general spa guidance to guests in your care Arrival. Promote and sell spa/salon services. Obtain the assigned bank and guarantee the accuracy of the money contracted, obtain the necessary change for the expected level of business and keep the bank safe at all times. Notify Engineering of maintenance and repair needs
