Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for producing the highest quality garage doors and components, ensuring adherence to safety and quality assurance practices. This role involves overseeing the machinery and the production process.
Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment to produce high-quality, damage-free products.Perform quality checks and complete necessary documentation such as tags, quality forms, scrap, and rejections.Utilize various quality measurement tools to ensure products remain within specification and of high quality.Set up, operate, and adjust equipment needed for manufacturing, including roll former and embosser.Generate, interpret, and execute run sheets and reporting, adjusting widths, gauges, and cutoff dies as needed.Maintain maximum efficiency of the roll former and ensure a steady flow of material ahead of production lines.Identify and articulate quality concerns and maintenance issues to stakeholders for effective resolution.Maintain cleanliness of work area and general housekeeping.Assist in training related to roll forming.Assume other duties as assigned by leadership.Essential Skills
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in steel manufacturing.Ability to read blueprints and layouts to ensure proper production of materials.Proficient with various computer applications, scanners, and tablets.Highest level of safety in all activities performed.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in machine operation, blueprint reading, CNC, shear, general labor, and assembly.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based on a production floor, which is not climate-controlled. The position requires standing throughout the shift and involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items, occasionally with the assistance of a team member for heavier loads.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $42120.00 - $45240.00/yr.
Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution after your first year of employment) among others.
