**ROI Specialist (Healthcare)**
**Iron Mountain is seeking a** **highly motivated** **ROI Specialist (Healthcare)** **to join our** **Health Information Management** **team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for** **ensuring the lawful and compliant disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI) in response to complex legal and patient requests** **.** **This position requires strong attention to detail and an expert understanding of state and federal privacy regulations.**
**What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)**
**In this role, you will:**
+ Lead the review, validation, and fulfillment of legal requests, including subpoenas and court orders, ensuring all documentation is processed accurately and promptly.
+ Collaborate with patients, legal entities, law enforcement, and internal legal counsel to clarify requests, mitigate risk, and maintain the integrity of the release process.
+ Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and specific state laws regarding PHI disclosure, including the appropriate handling of highly sensitive record types like behavioral health and substance abuse treatment.
**What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)**
**The ideal candidate will have:**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in Release of Information (ROI), Health Information Management, or a legal records processing environment.
+ Strong knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy Rule, state regulations, and legal procedures specific to the disclosure of patient health information.
+ Proven ability in legal document interpretation and applying appropriate, compliant disclosure procedures in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field is preferred.

+ Salary details: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
+ Shifts: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00pm - 6:30am (Training schedule: 12:00PM - 8:30PM MON - FRI)
