The Rockwork Design team is responsible for entry-level rockwork digital production design, technical integration of rockwork, and preparation of design drawings, details, and scope documents for the interior and exterior rockwork elements during the course of a specific project, land, or park including coordination of Architecture, Design & Engineering efforts with Creative, Show, Ride and construction trade partners.

What You Will DoDigital rockwork model mesh sculpting and manipulation including rockwork creative and integration of show, facility, ride, structural and area development elements.Work with Creative studio team members to translate creative intent into 3D models.Support rockwork model scanningSupport preparation of design drawings, details, and scope documents for rockwork elements.

Required Qualifications & SkillsStrong communication skills and the desire to work in a collaborative team environmentA minimum of 3 years of work experience in the production and use of 3D organic models, and hard surface models for entertainment, commercial or industrial projects.A strong foundation in sculpture, modeling and scenic design.Proficient in the use of: AutoCAD and/or Revit, and RhinoPreferred Qualifications & SkillsProficiency in the following:  Z-brush, Polyworks, 3DS Max, Geomagic Design X, Navisworks, and GrasshopperWorking knowledge of polygon mesh manipulation, sculpting, and modeling.  Working knowledge of model scanning techniques and files

EducationGraduate of an accredited school with an Associate degree, technical certification in design, structural design or graduate of a non-accredited engineering school

The hiring range for this position in California is $94,200.00-$126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
