Robotics Technician
Job Title: Robotics Technician with top automotive OEM Job Description The primary responsibility of this role is to inspect and confirm that new or modified equipment for manufacturing production meets set standards and performs as intended. The role involves on-site robot programming and interlocking, as well as preparing and confirming new body weld equipment at vendors. Responsibilities + Inspect and confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended. + Prepare and confirm new body weld chassis equipment at vendors. + Support weld machine activity at North American Manufacturing Companies from installation to start of production. + Develop equipment countermeasures during setup and trials. + Engage in travel to U.S., Canada, Mexico, and other international locations, including Japan. + Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays. + Engage in both on-site and online robot programming. Essential Skills + Experience with programing, robot teaching, and weld robots. + Proficiency in PLC and industrial maintenance. + 2-5 years of automotive manufacturing experience. + Degree in Industrial Maintenance related field. + Strong robotic and PLC skills. + Experience in an arc welding environment. + Strong computer skills, including MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. + Ability to create and maintain schedules. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Ability to handle medium to heavy physical work. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime. Work Environment The role is project-based, with each project lasting between 9-18 months. Employees are expected to travel frequently, spending approximately 12 days out at designated North American Manufacturing Company projects during peak times. The work involves ensuring all equipment is operational according to standards and specifications. The work environment is dynamic, with a focus on continuous learning and development. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $37.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
